Impeccable Agreements
Isn’t it frustrating when you only discover at the deadline that a teammate missed a goal, action, or other commitment?
Great teamwork starts with being able to count on each other.
Vague commitments and missed deadlines slowly erode productivity and morale.
The solution is usually not better people; it’s a culture of dependability.
Enter “Impeccable Agreements”, a concept from the Conscious Leadership Group.
They are:
1/ Precisely defined, so success can be judged objectively, even by an outsider.
2/ Fully agreed to by all relevant people and usually written down.
3/ Proactively altered before the due date if they can’t be met.
⚜️The golden rule: Keep your agreements, or communicate as soon as you know you can’t.
When a team member repeatedly breaks an agreement without communicating upfront, it must be addressed to prevent the erosion of trust.
💡Note: Impeccable Agreements are not tools for control.
• Every agreement should come from a full-body yes.
• Hitting at least 90% consistently is a healthy standard. We’re humans, not machines.
