It was July 4th, 2016 when this all started for me - 10 years ago.

On Independence Day, I bought my co-founderโ€™s shares.

โ€œAre you sure you want to do this?โ€, he asked.

Heck no, I wasnโ€™t sure:

โŒ Our bank account crashed for the 2nd time in 2 years.

โŒ Team members came to me in tears, broken by constant micromanagement and pressure.

Then why continue? I just knew we could achieve more with this team.

Fast forward a few years:

๐ŸŽฏ The team shifted from near burn-out to consistently high engagement and creativity.

๐ŸŽฏ Financial results went from barely break-even to highly profitable.

๐ŸŽฏ I went from 60 hrs/week firefighting to about 10 hrs/week mentoring the team.
